Janet graduated from Stanford University in l971 at the age of nineteen with a degree in clinical psychology. She is a member of Stanford Cap & Gown, the honorary women's society which selects scholars based on academic merit and community service. After several years of adventure, she attended Hastings College of the Law and received her degree in l978. Janet interned with the Federal Public Defender in San Francisco and the Alameda County Public Defender. Janet started her own law firm in 1979 and specializes in trust and estate planning and the law of not-for-profit corporations.
